12/19, Third Saturday of Advent
He who is to come will come and will not
delay,
and now there will be no fear within our
land,
for he is our Savior.
There is so much fear today. I get it.
Terrorism is a real issue, and we need to be doing more to stop the
violence before it starts. We can come
up with all kinds of grand human plans.
Create this law. Join this
coalition. Destroy this city. All of it is moot without God. He is the answer to our fear. Have we learned nothing from the persecuted
Christians in the Middle East and Africa?
Those who have willingly become martyrs for the faith? Only God can overcome the fear and oppression
we see today.
O Flower of Jesse's stem, you have been
raised up as a sign for all peoples;
kings stand silent in your presence;
the nations bow down in worship before
you.
Come, let nothing keep you from coming
to our aid.
