12/22, Fourth Tuesday of Advent
O gates, lift high your heads; grow
higher ancient doors.
Let him enter, the king of glory!
Our Eternal King is coming, are we open
to him? Have we chosen to accept or
reject Him? This is something I often
wonder about atheists and others who reject the Gospel message. Are they deliberately closed to hear the Good
News? What can we do to help them be
open to it? Ultimately we are reminded
that it is a personal choice. Whether we
like it or not, God is there, waiting to enter into our hearts. It is our choice to accept or reject
Him. What are we Christians doing during
the Advent season to embrace God in our lives and in our hearts?
O King of all the nations, the only joy
of every human heart;
O Keystone of the mighty arch of man,
come and save the creature you fashioned from dust.
